Who Is Adora?
A young girl who has changed peoples perspective towards literacy through her
talks, discussions, essays, stories, books and blog posts. Adora Lily Svitak is a 17
year old girl American child who is an internationally acclaimed speaker, advocate
for causes include literacy, youth empowerment and an activist for feminism. At the
young age of 4, Adora began exploring an interest towards a range of written work.
She loved writing and hoped to foster this through her first ever book ‘Flying
Fingers’ which revolves around learning, where it debuted during her first year at a
Local elementary school. At the age of five she
was limited only because of her spelling and
handwriting where she would have done wonders
of this very tender age. Adora's oral abilities
were remarkable because they were the same
extent of those young adults that were over twice
her age. An opportunity to proclaim her talents
came through when her mother bought her a
laptop. She wrote about poetry, short stories and
observations about the world in over 250,000
words which she typed in a single year from the
age of seven. From this age, Adora was a prolific
short story writer and blogger who spoke around
the United States to adults and children as an
advocate for literacy.
